48 Responsible authority may ban persons for specified period

48 Responsible authority may ban persons for specified period

(1) If a responsible authority for a major event is of the opinion that a person has contravened any provision of this Act or the regulations, the responsible authority may ban the person from entering any major event area (or part of a major event area) for such period (not exceeding 6 months) as the responsible authority determines.

(2) A person who is banned from entering a major event area under this section must not enter the major event area while the ban is in force.

Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.
