57 Recommendations by Integrity Oversight Victoria
S. 57(1) amended by Nos 82/2012 s. 116(2), 31/2024 s. 113(Sch. 1 item 23.15).
(1) Integrity Oversight Victoria may at any time make recommendations to the Chief Examiner or the Chief Commissioner as to the taking of any action that Integrity Oversight Victoria considers should be taken.
(2) Without limiting subsection (1), recommended action may include—
(a) taking steps to prevent any conduct from continuing or occurring in the future;
(b) taking action to remedy any harm or loss arising from any conduct.

(3) Integrity Oversight Victoria may require the Chief Examiner or the Chief Commissioner to give a report to Integrity Oversight Victoria, within the time specified by Integrity Oversight Victoria stating—

(a) whether or not the Chief Examiner or Chief Commissioner has taken, or proposes to take, any action recommended by Integrity Oversight Victoria; and
(b) if the Chief Examiner or Chief Commissioner has not taken any recommended action, or proposes not to take any recommended action, the reasons for not taking or proposing to take the action.

(4) The Chief Examiner or the Chief Commissioner must comply with a requirement of Integrity Oversight Victoria under subsection (3).
