### 24 Settlement of proceeding by person under disability
> > (1) [*\[Rule 24 Subrule (1) amended by S.R. 2013, No. 69, Applied:04 Sep 2013\]*](/view/html/inforce/2013-09-04/sr-2013-069#GS21@EN) The compromise or settlement of any proceeding does not bind a person under disability unless it is approved by order of the Court.

> > (2) Before making an order referred to in [subrule (1)](#GS24@Gs1@EN) , the Court is to consider any legal opinion filed on behalf of the person under disability relating to the adequacy or desirability of the proposed compromise or settlement.
>
> > (3) If the Court makes an order referred to in [subrule (1)](#GS24@Gs1@EN) , it may also make any or all of the following ancillary orders:
> >
> > > > (a) an order as to the investment of any settlement money on behalf of the person under disability;
> > >
> > > > (b) an order as to payment of the capital and income to its full extent for the maintenance, education, benefit or advancement for and on behalf of the person under disability;
> > >
> > > > (c) an order as to the payment of the costs of the litigation guardian or any other party.
