Tasmania regulation
These rules amend the Magistrates Court (Civil Division) Rules 1998 to change how written evidence is handled in civil matters of the Magistrates Court. They take effect when notified in the Gazette, were made by the Magistrates Rule Committee, and are now incorporated into the authorised version of the Principal Rules.
The changes primarily affect litigants, their lawyers and magistrates by altering procedural requirements for presenting evidence; the Magistrates Rule Committee decides the change and the Department of Justice administers it.
