4J Adjournment to seek legal advice S. 4J(1) amended by No. 33/2018 ss 37(1), 44(2). (1) The Specialist Family Violence Court Division may, on its own initiative or on the application of a party to a proceeding, exercise its power under section 128 to adjourn proceedings to give one or more of the parties a reasonable opportunity to obtain legal advice. S. 4J(2) amended by No. 33/2018 ss 37(1), 44(2). (2) The Specialist Family Violence Court Division may resume the proceedings if it is satisfied that the party or parties have had a reasonable opportunity to obtain legal advice whether or not that advice has been obtained.
