9 Nomination

(1) A person eligible to be elected as a member of a local board may nominate a candidate, including themselves, for election to the board.

Note—

This regulation, section 7 sets out eligibility criteria for nomination.

(2) A nomination must—

(a) be made in the way and the form approved by the returning officer, and

(b) be lodged with the returning officer before the close of nominations, and

(c) include the following—

(i) the candidate’s name,

(ii) the candidate’s residential address,

(iii) a statement signed by the candidate that the candidate—

(A) consents to the nomination, and

(B) consents to the information in the nomination being used by the returning officer to compile a candidate information sheet, and

(C) is at least 18 years of age.

(3) Each candidate must be nominated in a separate nomination.
