2 Returning officer
(1) Local Land Services must appoint an individual as returning officer to conduct the election for each region.
(2) An individual may be appointed as returning officer for the election for more than one region.
(3) When conducting an election, the returning officer may determine a matter not otherwise provided for by the Act or this regulation.
(4) The returning officer may delegate a function, other than this power of delegation, to an individual who is not a candidate in the election.
