18 Instructions for voting by mail

The instructions for voting by mail must include the following information—

(a) the date for the close of the ballot,

(b) instructions on how to cast a valid vote,

(c) that to vote in the election the person must—

(i) complete the declaration form, and

(ii) mark the ballot paper next to the names of the person’s preferred candidates, not being more than the number of persons to be elected in the election, and

(iii) seal the ballot paper in the envelope marked “Ballot Paper”, and

(iv) seal the declaration form and envelope marked “Ballot Paper” in the prepaid envelope addressed to the returning officer, and

(v) send the prepaid envelope by mail, or deliver the envelope to the returning officer, so that the returning officer receives the envelope no later than the time and date for the close of the ballot,

(d) other information the returning officer considers appropriate.
