1 Definitions

In this schedule—

close of nominations, for an election, means the time and date, set by the returning officer, until which nominations may be made.

close of the ballot, for an election, means the time and date, set by the returning officer, until which a person may vote in the election.

election means an election for one or more members of a local board.

nominee means an individual who—

(a) is at least 18 years of age, and

(b) is nominated by the ratepayers for a holding to vote on the ratepayers’ behalf.

roll means the roll prepared under section 3.

voter means a person who has cast a vote.
