77 Identification of stock zones by occupiers of land

77 Identification of stock zones by occupiers of land

(1) An occupier of land that is normally walked or grazed by stock must identify the part of an unfenced public road that passes through the land as a temporary stock zone by displaying a stock warning sign at the entry point to the zone.

Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.

(2) The sign must be displayed a reasonable distance from the point at which the driver of a vehicle is likely to encounter stock on the road.
