29 Type of contribution

(1) Local Land Services may, in a charging year, calculate and levy a catchment contribution for land in a catchment contribution area if Local Land Services considers there will be a shortfall in funding for catchment activities carried out by Local Land Services in the area during the charging year.

(2) In this section—

catchment activities includes the following—

(a) flood mitigation work,

(b) wetland rehabilitation work,

(c) riparian and river health work,

(d) education, community engagement, financing and natural resource management work related to paragraphs (a)–(c).
