#### 13 Recovery of rates paid when not occupier or owner 13 Recovery of rates paid when not occupier or owner > An occupier or owner of land who pays to Local Land Services any rate that accrued during the occupancy or ownership of the land by some other person is entitled to recover from that other person as a debt such proportion of the rate as accrued while that other person was the occupier or owner of the land.
