#### 66 Removal or destruction of timber 66 Removal or destruction of timber > > (1) Local Land Services must not remove, fell or destroy timber from an area of more than one hectare of land within a controlled travelling stock reserve unless it has given the Forestry Corporation at least 3 months’ notice in writing of its intention to do so. > > > > Note. > > > > For the effect of compliance with this section, see section 38 (4) (e) of the [Forestry Act 2012](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2012-096). > > > (2) Local Land Services must consult the Chief Executive of the Office of Environment and Heritage before it decides whether or not to fell timber on or remove timber felled on a controlled travelling stock reserve that adjoins a national park or a nature reserve. > > > (3) Local Land Services may remove timber only after giving due consideration to any representations made by the Chief Executive of the Office of Environment and Heritage.
