Tasmania regulation
This Order sets the total number of councillors for six Tasmanian municipal areas: Central Coast (9), Devonport (9), Glamorgan‑Spring Bay (8), Glenorchy (10), Kingborough (10) and Tasman (7). The new numbers take effect from the certificate of election issued at the next ordinary election after the Order is notified (ss 4–9). The Order also adopts interpretation rules from the Acts Interpretation Act 1931 and the Local Government Act 1993 and records that the amendments are incorporated into that Act (s 3; Part 3).
