94 Interpretation of Part VII

(1)  *[Section 94 Subsection (1) amended by No. 30 of 1983, s. 4 ]*In this Part, except in so far as the context or subject-matter otherwise indicates or requires –

[Section 94 Subsection (1) amended by No. 27 of 2008, Sched. 1, Applied:28 Apr 2008] monetary penalty means a monetary penalty within the meaning of the Monetary Penalties Enforcement Act 2005 ;

park, in relation to a vehicle, means stop the vehicle or allow it to remain in a place where the driver or person in charge of the vehicle intends it to remain stationary, otherwise than –

(a) because the stopping of traffic prevents movement; or

(b) for so long only as is required to set down or take up passengers or goods without waiting;

parking attendant means a person employed by a corporation to supervise parking in parking spaces;

[Section 94 Subsection (1) amended by No. 28 of 2019, s. 4, Applied:02 Oct 2019] parking meter means a device installed pursuant to section 95(1) , that, on payment of money and by reference to a particular parking space, records the length of time for which a vehicle is, or is permitted to be, parked in that space;
