### 55 Numbering of buildings, &c.
> > (1) The corporation may allot to a piece of land one or more distinguishing numbers, and may cause a building on that piece of land to be marked with such a number in such manner as the corporation thinks fit.

> > (2) *\[Section 55 Subsection (2) amended by No. 43 of 1991, s. 5 and Sched. 1 \]*An owner or occupier who fails to comply with a requirement of the corporation made of him for the purposes of this section is guilty of an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding 2 penalty units.
