### 19 Closure of local highways for public functions, &c.

> > > > (a) close a local highway or part of a local highway in the municipality;

> > (5) While part of a local highway is closed or forbidden to be used under [subsection (1)](#GS19@Gs1@EN) , that part shall be deemed to be the property of the corporation for the purpose of civil or criminal proceedings against persons who are not authorized to enter that part.
