33 Procurement policy (1) A council must, by resolution, adopt a policy for the procurement of supplies that takes into account the following principles: (a) the enhancement of the capabilities of local enterprises and industries; (b) the employment of Aboriginal people; (c) ethical behaviour and fair dealings; (d) environmental protection and sustainability; (e) open and effective competition; (f) value for money; (g) any other principle the council considers appropriate.
