56 How scrutiny carried out (1) The result of voting at an election must be determined by scrutiny in accordance with this Part. (2) Proceedings at the scrutiny must be open to the inspection of scrutineers and other persons approved by the returning officer. (3) The returning officer may from time to time adjourn the scrutiny.
