3 Definitions

In this proclamation—

Chief Executive means the Chief Executive of the Office of Local Government.

commencement day means the day on which the proclamation commences.

constituent council means a council of one of the following areas—

(a) Armidale Regional,

(b) Glen Innes Severn Shire,

(c) Uralla,

(d) Walcha.

former county council means the New England County Council and includes a predecessor of the New England County Council.

the Act means the Local Government Act 1993.

The Act and the Interpretation Act 1987 contain definitions and other provisions that affect the interpretation and application of this proclamation.
