179 Municipal Monitor (1) The Minister may appoint a person to be a Municipal Monitor to a Council. (2) The Minister must give the Council written notice of any appointment of a Municipal Monitor made to the Council under subsection (1) which specifies the amounts the Municipal Monitor is entitled to be paid and the terms of the appointment. (3) The Council must pay a Municipal Monitor the amounts specified in the notice under subsection (2). S. 179(4) inserted by No. 23/2024 s. 17. (4) The Council must provide a Municipal Monitor with any assistance reasonably necessary to enable the Municipal Monitor to perform the functions set out in section 180.
