52 Electoral Commissioner to confirm if person is not enrolled as an elector (a) a person has ceased to hold office because the person is disqualified under section 47(1)(m); and (b) the person does not resign under section 51(1). (2) The CEO must, in writing, request the Electoral Commissioner to confirm that the person is not enrolled as an elector in respect of a place of residence within the area for the council for which the person held office as a member. (3) If the Electoral Commissioner confirms, in writing, that the person is not enrolled as an elector under subsection (2), the person's disqualification takes effect on the date of the Electoral Commissioner's written notice.
