240 Imposition of parking rate (1) Subject to subsection (3), a council for a municipality may, by resolution, impose a parking rate for the municipality (a municipal parking rate) in accordance with any requirements prescribed by regulation. (2) A municipal parking rate imposed is notified in a rates declaration on or before 30 June and applies for the next financial year. (3) The regulations may prescribe the municipalities for which a municipal parking rate may be imposed.
