207 Powers of Councils over traffic Subject to the **Road Safety Act 1986** and any regulations made under that Act, but without limiting any other powers of a Council as a road authority, the powers include the specific traffic management powers set out in Schedule 11. Example to s. 207 amended by No. 25/2025 s. 102. **Example** A Council must obtain the consent of the Head, Transport for Victoria before exercising a power under Schedule 11 which if exercised under a regulation made under the **Road Safety Act 1986** in respect of a major traffic control item would require the consent of the Head, Transport for Victoria.
