207 Powers of Councils over traffic
Subject to the Road Safety Act 1986 and any regulations made under that Act, but without limiting any other powers of a Council as a road authority, the powers include the specific traffic management powers set out in Schedule 11.

Example
A Council must obtain the consent of the Head, Transport for Victoria before exercising a power under Schedule 11 which if exercised under a regulation made under the Road Safety Act 1986 in respect of a major traffic control item would require the consent of the Head, Transport for Victoria.
