Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This Act authorises the federal Treasurer to borrow £4,125,000 to fund post‑World War II “soldier settlement” programs, appropriating that sum specifically to reimburse states for War Service Land Settlement costs. It affects returned servicemen (who received farming land), state governments (which acquired and developed the land) and the Commonwealth Treasury (which manages the borrowing), ensuring funds are dedicated to veteran land settlement rather than general spending.
