27B Recovery of overpayments
Where an amount paid to a person as interest in respect of a deposit or deposits in respect of a particular period exceeds the amount properly payable to the person as interest in respect of the deposit or deposits in respect of that period, the excess is a debt due to the Commonwealth by the person and may be recovered by the Commonwealth in a court of competent jurisdiction.
