### 95 Determination of total allowable catch > > (1)  Before setting or varying a total allowable catch under a management plan, the Minister must consult with any person, body or organisation the Minister considers to be representative of those having an interest in the amount that might be set as the total allowable catch. > > > (2)  The Minister must determine a total allowable catch having regard to the purposes of this Act. > > > (3)  The Minister, by public notice, must notify the quantity determined as a total allowable catch under this section.
