### 184 Use of vessel or vehicle > > (1)  For the purpose of exercising a power under this Act, a fisheries officer may require the master of a vessel or the person apparently in charge of a vehicle to allow the fisheries officer to use the vessel or vehicle. > > > (2)  The Secretary is to pay compensation to any person entitled to use a vessel or vehicle at the time a fisheries officer used the vessel or vehicle. > > > (3)  Compensation is payable – > > > > > > (a) for any reasonable loss incurred – > > > > > > > > > > (i) in respect of the vessel or vehicle because of its use by a fisheries officer; or > > > > > > > > > > > (ii) for any other reason the Minister considers appropriate; and > > > > > > > (b) at an amount the Minister considers appropriate.
