38 Purchase of approved devices A person must not purchase an approved device unless the person is: (a) the owner of the registered property for the PIC displayed on the device; or (b) authorised by the owner of the property to purchase the device. Fault element: Strict liability offence. Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units.
