These regulations may be cited as the Liquor Licensing (Infringement Notices) Regulations 2018 .

Tasmania regulation
These regulations list specific offences in the Liquor Licensing Act 1990 and the Liquor Licensing Regulations 2016 as "prescribed offences" for the Act’s infringement-notice procedure (section 223) and set the prescribed penalty in penalty units for each listed offence (regs 4–5; Schedules 1–2). Mechanically, that makes a fixed monetary payment available as an alternative to prosecution for those offences, so affected persons (licensed businesses, staff or members of the public who breach the listed provisions) face a direct payment obligation and associated compliance costs.

These regulations may be cited as the Liquor Licensing (Infringement Notices) Regulations 2018 .
These regulations take effect on 25 June 2018.
In these regulations –
Act means the Liquor Licensing Act 1990 .
For the purposes of section 223 of the Act –
(a) an offence under a section of the Act specified in column 2 of the table in Schedule 1 is a prescribed offence; and
(b) the penalty specified in column 3 of that table in respect of that offence is the prescribed penalty for that offence.
For the purposes of section 223 of the Act –
(a) an offence under a provision of the Liquor Licensing Regulations 2016 specified in column 2 of the table in Schedule 2 is a prescribed offence; and
(b) the penalty specified in column 3 of that table in respect of that offence is the prescribed penalty for that offence.
