84 Limits on authorities (1) An authority cannot be changed into or substituted for another authority, without making an application for the other authority. (2) No grocery store authority may be created or issued under this Act. (3) No takeaway authority may be created or issued until after 31 August 2023 or any later date extended under subsection (4). (4) The date after which a takeaway authority may be created or issued may be extended by up to 12 months at a time by regulation. (5) The restrictions in this section on creating and issuing authorities do not prevent the following: (a) the transfer of an authority under section 81; (b) the conversion of a licence issued under the Liquor Act 1978 in accordance with Part 15, Division 2.
