46A Licence—immediate suspension for failure to pay fee (a) the commissioner gives a licensee a written notice to pay a fee payable under this Act; and (b) the licensee fails to pay the fee within 7 days after the day the notice is given. (2) The commissioner may give the licensee a written notice (the immediate suspension notice) suspending the licence. (3) The suspension takes effect when the immediate suspension notice is given to the licensee. (4) The suspension ends when the fee is paid. Note A failure to pay a fee within 28 days after the day an immediate suspension notice is given is a ground to cancel a licence (see s 183 (3)).
