20A What is a catering licence? catering licence means a licence that authorises the licensee to sell (a) in the course of conducting a catering business; and (b) in open containers for consumption at premises where the business is being conducted; and (c) at the licensed times; and (d) where the predominant activity at the licensed times is the serving of food for consumption at the premises. catering business means a food business providing a food catering service. food business means a food business under the Food Act 2001, whether or not the business is required to be registered under that Act.
