This instrument is a licence area plan under subsection 26(1) of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992 that prescribes which radio services may be made available across the Remote Western Australia licence area and in named communities. It fixes two national, two commercial and 28 open narrowcasting slots for the area and one community radio slot for each listed locality, and points to Schedules/Attachments for technical and operational requirements (which may be amended over time). It shapes who can seek licences and the technical obligations they must meet.
Zoe can write the in-depth analysis on top of the summary above: how it works, who it affects and what each part actually does.
