3 Interpretation

(1)  In this Act, unless the contrary intention appears –

average Council division enrolment means the number of electors ascertained in accordance with section 9(3) ;

Committee means the Redistribution Committee;

Council division quota means the Council division quota determined under section 12 ;

[Section 3 Subsection (1) amended by No. 53 of 2004, Sched. 1, Applied:16 Feb 2005] Electoral Commission means the Tasmanian Electoral Commission established under section 6 of the Electoral Act 2004 ;

electoral division means a Council division;
