Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This declaration shifts the automatic repeal (sunset) of five imported‑food and biosecurity charging regulations so they will be repealed together on 1 April 2031. It keeps the statutory rules for imposing, collecting and administering those charges in force until that date. It affects importers (who pay the charges) and the agencies that set, collect or enforce them, because fee bases, compliance obligations and administrative discretion under those regulations remain operative while they are not repealed.
