Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This certificate pauses the automatic expiry of three key family law regulation sets—family dispute resolution, general family law procedures, and superannuation‑splitting rules—by extending their “use‑by” date from 1 April 2023 to 1 April 2025.
It’s a temporary, stop‑gap step to keep mediators, courts, couples and lawyers operating under the existing framework while broader reforms are considered; the certificate self‑repeals the day after the new deadline.
