Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This Certificate delays the automatic expiry of three airport regulations — on building control, environmental protection, and protection of airspace — by moving their sunset date from 1 April 2024 to 1 April 2026.
It preserves existing safety and environmental rules for two more years so the government can review and remake them without those rules lapsing; the Certificate itself expires on 2 April 2026.
