1  Name

  This instrument is the Legislation (Biosecurity Goods Determinations) Sunset-altering Declaration 2026.

2  Commencement

 (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3  Authority

  This instrument is made under subsection 51A(1) of the Legislation Act 2003.

4  Aligning of sunsetting

  The following instruments are repealed by section 51A of the Legislation Act 2003 on 1 October 2031:

 (a) Biosecurity (Conditionally Non‑prohibited Goods) Determination 2021;

 (b) Biosecurity (Prohibited and Conditionally Non‑prohibited Goods—Christmas Island) Determination 2016;

 (c) Biosecurity (Prohibited and Conditionally Non‑prohibited Goods—Cocos (Keeling) Islands) Determination 2016;

 (d) Biosecurity (Prohibited and Conditionally Non‑prohibited Goods—Norfolk Island) Determination 2016;

 (e) Biosecurity (Prohibited and Conditionally Non‑prohibited Goods—Torres Strait) Determination 2016.

5  Repeal of this instrument

  This instrument is repealed at the start of 2 October 2031.
