84  Pro bono and other matters to be taken into account in selecting external legal services providers

 (1) A Commonwealth entity other than a GBE must take the following matters into consideration when determining whether to engage a particular external legal services provider to undertake Commonwealth legal work:

 (a) the amount and kind of pro bono legal work the provider has undertaken or will undertake;

 (b) whether the provider has signed up to the National Pro Bono Target of the Australian Pro Bono Centre.

 (2) Subsection (1) does not limit the matters that may be taken into consideration.
