13 Direction related to tied work
(1) If an entity (including a tied provider) obtains tied work, it must obtain the work in accordance with this Part.
(2) An entity may obtain tied work from:
(a) a tied provider of that work; or
(b) a legal services provider who:
(i) is not a tied provider of that work; but
(ii) has been approved to undertake the work in accordance with section 18; or
(c) if the Office of Parliamentary Counsel has arranged for another legal services provider to undertake tied drafting work—that provider.
(3) In addition, a tied provider may, for the work in respect of which it is a tied provider, obtain tied work from a legal services provider briefed in their capacity as counsel or another legal expert.
Note: For subsection (3), the counsel or other legal expert does not need to be approved under section 18.
