#### 81 Interest on costs 81 Interest on costs > > (1) A costs assessor may, in respect of the amount of Uniform Law costs or a specified part of that amount, determine that— > > > > > (a) interest is payable at a rate determined by the assessor that does not exceed the rate referred to in section 195(4) of the [Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW)](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2014-16a), or > > > > > (b) no interest is payable. > > > (2) This section applies despite any costs agreement or anything else in section 195 of the [Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW)](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2014-16a). > > > (3) This section does not authorise the giving of interest on interest. > > **ss 71–82:** Subst 2015 No 7, Sch 1 \[27\].
