#### 28 Delegation of functions of NSW Commissioner 28 Delegation of functions of NSW Commissioner > > (1) The NSW Commissioner may delegate any of his or her functions under this Act (other than this power of delegation) or the [Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW)](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2014-16a) to any member of the staff of the NSW Commissioner or to a person of a class prescribed by the regulations. > > > (2) The NSW Commissioner may delegate the following functions to the Bar Council or the Law Society Council— > > > > > (a) any function of the NSW Commissioner under section 137 or 144 of this Act, > > > > > (b) any of the NSW Commissioner’s Chapter 5 functions. > > > > Note. > > > > Under the [Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW)](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2014-16a), Chapter 5 functions means— > > > > > (a) functions under Chapter 5, or > > > > > (b) functions under another provision of that Law relating to Chapter 5, or > > > > > (c) functions under the Uniform Rules relating to Chapter 5. > > Note. > > Section 406 of the [Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW)](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2014-16a) provides that a local regulatory authority may delegate its functions under that Law to an entity prescribed by jurisdictional legislation.
