#### 17 Issuing authority for search warrants 17 Issuing authority for search warrants > > (1) Any person holding or acting in the office of Judge of the Local Court is the issuing authority for the purposes of section 377 of the [Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW)](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2014-16a). > > > (2) Except as provided by the [Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW)](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2014-16a) or this Act, Division 4 of Part 5 of the [Law Enforcement (Powers and Responsibilities) Act 2002](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2002-103) applies to search warrants under section 377 of the [Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW)](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2014-16a). > > **s 17:** Am 2025 No 61, Sch 2.60.
