#### 76 Costs assessment—party not participating in assessment 76 Costs assessment—party not participating in assessment > For the purposes of section 199 of the Uniform Law, if, after receiving notice under section 198(8) of that Law, a party to the assessment does not participate in a costs assessment, assessment may proceed, and be determined, in the absence of that party.
