#### 23 Duration of Australian registration certificate 23 Duration of Australian registration certificate > > (1) An Australian registration certificate is in force— > > > > > (a) if granted, from the commencement date specified in it until the following 30 June, or > > > > > (b) if renewed, from 1 July in the year for which it is renewed until the following 30 June, > > > > unless earlier suspended, cancelled or surrendered. > > > (2) If the holder of an Australian registration certificate makes an application to the designated local regulatory authority for a new Australian registration certificate before the expiry of the holder’s current Australian registration certificate granted or renewed in a participating jurisdiction, the current certificate continues in force, subject to the Uniform Law, until the earlier of— > > > > > (a) the designated local regulatory authority grants, or refuses to grant, a new Australian registration certificate, or > > > > > (b) the applicant withdraws the application.
