### 23 Allocation of work
> > (1) Subject to [subsection (2)](#GS23@Gs2@EN) , the Commission shall allocate work among the private legal practitioners whose names are on the list kept under [section 22](#GS22@EN) [(1)](#GS22@Gs1@EN) –
> >
> > > > (a) in a manner that is equitable; and
> > >
> > > > (b) with regard to the nature of their legal practices.

> > (2) In determining to whom work should be allocated in a particular case, the paramount considerations are –
> >
> > > > (a) the interest of the assisted person; and
> > >
> > > > (b) any choice expressed by the assisted person for a particular private legal practitioner.
>
> > (3) The Commission shall keep a record of the number and type of matters dealt with by specified private legal practitioners under this Act.

> > (4) The Commission shall make available the record kept under [subsection (3)](#GS23@Gs3@EN) for inspection on request by the Law Society.
