54Meetings

54 Meetings (1) The commission shall hold such meetings as are necessary for the exercise of its functions. (2) The president of the commission may at any time convene a meeting of the commission. (3) The president of the commission, on receipt of a request in writing signed by 3 commissioners, shall convene a meeting of the (4) At a meeting of the commission, 4 commissioners constitute a quorum. (5) The president of the commission shall preside at all meetings of the commission at which the president is present. (6) If the president of the commission is not present at a meeting of the commission, the commissioners present shall elect 1 of their number to preside at that meeting and the person so elected shall preside accordingly. (7) Questions arising at a meeting of the commission shall be determined by a majority of the votes of the commissioners present and voting. (8) The commissioner presiding at a meeting of the commission has a deliberative vote and, in the event of an equality of votes, also has a casting vote. (9) The commission may regulate the conduct of proceedings at its meetings as it thinks fit and shall keep minutes of those proceedings.
