41 Establishment of fund
(1) There is established by this section a fund to be known as the legal
aid fund.
(2) Subject to subsection (4), the fund shall consist of—
(a) money paid to, or recovered by, the commission under this Act
(other than money received or held by the commission on trust);
and
(b) money paid to the commission out of a statutory interest
account; and
(c) money paid to the commission, being money appropriated by
the Legislative Assembly for the commission; and
(d) any other money paid to the commission for the purpose of the
provision of legal assistance or otherwise for the fund; and
(e) income derived from the investment of money forming part of
the fund.
(3) The fund shall be controlled and administered by the commission.
(4) Money paid to the commission, being money appropriated by the
Legislative Assembly for the purpose of the provision of financial
assistance to voluntary legal assistance organisations, does not form
part of the fund.
