50 Construction of expressions used in deeds and other instruments (1) In all deeds, contracts, wills, orders and other instruments executed, made or coming into operation after the commencement of this Act, unless the contrary intention appears: (a) month means calendar month; (b) person includes a natural person and a body corporate; (c) words indicating a gender include each other gender; and (d) words in the singular include the plural and words in the plural include the singular. (2) A covenant, power or other provision implied in a deed or other instrument under an Act is to be construed in accordance with Law of Property Act 2000 29
